UBCO Gardening Club

The UBCO Gardening Club is an opportunity to hear from UBCO and community experts about flora and fauna in the Okanagan and at UBCO, to participate in hands-on gardening opportunities, and to socialize with like-minded folks from all areas of campus.

The Gardening Club is open to all UBC faculty, staff, and students. Workshops typically run monthly from approximately May-October and are offered to the campus community at no charge.

Design and Plant an EME Plant Bed

On August 22 and September 26, we are holding a 2-part workshop to design and plant an existing plant bed in the EME amphitheatre. Building on fire-smart, pollinator-friendly, and UBC design principles, we’ll design as a group a revitalized plant bed for the EME amphitheatre. This workshop will be facilitated by Ashlee Hignell of Root and Twig.

In September, we’ll get together again to actually plant our design. We will have some equipment on hand, but feel free to bring your own… and of course, your gardening gloves!

There is no requirement to attend both workshops, anyone is welcome to attend either or both.
