Facilities Management reminds campus community about notices, posters and signs
Facilities Management would like to remind students, faculty and staff that only notices, posters and signs authorized by the Students’ Union or, in the case of departmental bulletin boards, the relevant department, are allowed to be displayed in the designated areas only on campus — e.g. bulletin boards or designated sandwich boards (ordered via Facilities work request for special events).
Everyone on campus should be familiar with Board of Governors Policy No. 120 which states that notices of any sort are not permitted on building exteriors, unless approved by Facilities Management. This includes chalk messages on buildings or sidewalks, and any large-scale or specialized banners or posters.
Posters or notices are also not allowed to be attached to walls of corridors, classrooms, or public spaces, or attached to equipment.
For full signage policy details, read the Board of Governors policy on the posting of notices, posters and signs.
